MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER FOR AWARD-WINNING SITE
"On the Frontier of a Disaster: Nicholas School Responds to the Gulf Oil Spill" documented a multi-tiered communications and education plan involving websites, blogs, YouTube submissions, Facebook, Twitter, magazine features, news items, and a four-day fact-finding trip, as well as on-going DukeEngage and student projects. It won the 2011 CASE award for excellence in public relations.
Produced digital content and media for award-winning online resource hub, including multimedia website content and blog posts, Flickr updates, Twitter & Facebook updates.
Produced 10 video shoots on location in New Orleans including productions on the water and in helicopters. Hired local video production team, conducted on-camera interviews with scientists, boat captains, Nature Conservancy experts, et al. Produced five video shorts, which became part of award-winning digital coverage of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Recipient of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education's (CASE) 2011 Grand Gold Award, which is presented only for exceptional entries, in the Individual Public Relations and Community Relations category.
