Conceptualized and oversaw the design, development and production of an interactive online tool for consumers interested in energy-saving lights.
Headed the development and roll-out of an online buying guide to energy-efficient lights. Researched the topic extensively, consulting with EPA et al. energy experts, staff scientists and others. Formulated a review process enlisting a crowd-sourced team of testers, and organized the testing and review of over 70 of the most popular light bulb styles.
Working with graphic designers, the technical team and the development department, orchestrated the project into a popular tool that Smithsonian magazine called "the best CFL guide on the Internet."
It was later folded into our Fight Global Warming campaign.
Led internal talks about the benefits of low-energy lights. Spoke to the media about energy-saving lights, our crowd-sourced research, and our guide.
